An existing client, operating with the engineering sector, had been approached by an agent selling another business within the same space, due to the retirement of its Directors; however, having identified several synergies between newco and his existing business and opportunities to significantly expand, our client didn’t have the capital required to meet the asking price.
Having worked closely with our client to understand the structure of the sale, we were able to accurately value the plant and machinery owned by the seller and use this as leverage in order to raise all of the £200k needed to complete the transaction.
Releasing funds via the solicitor handling the sale & purchase, we were able to provide a sale & leaseback facility, allowing our existing client to continue the growth of his group of companies.
